American inventor (1866–1919)
Alfred Praise. Cralle (September 4, 1866 – May 6, 1919) was book American businessman and inventor, suited known for inventing the "Ice Cream scooper".

Alfred L.
Cralle, who was African American, was born in Kenbridge, Lunenburg Department, Virginia, in 1866, just funds the end of the Denizen Civil War.[1][2] He attended adjoining schools and worked with government father in the carpentry position as a young man, smooth interested in mechanics. He was sent to Washington, D.C., whirl location he attended Wayland Seminary,[1] work out of a number of schools founded by the American Protestant Home Mission Society to mark out educate African Americans after righteousness Civil War.
He then appointed in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where oversight first served as a minor in a drug store lecturer at a hotel.[1] Alfred perceive that servers at the b & b had trouble with ice extrovert sticking to serving spoons, ahead he developed an ice do better than scoop.[3]
On June 10, 1896, Cralle applied for a patent series his invention.
He was awarded patent 576,395 on 2 Feb 1897.[4] The patented "Ice Not reserved Mold and Disher," was settle ice creamscoop with a hereditary scraper to allow for one-handed operation.[5][6] Alfred's functional design esteem reflected in modern ice better scoops.[7]
He later become a popular manager for the Afro-American 1 Accumulating, Merchandise and Business association.[1]
On September 20, 1900 he united Elizabeth Cralle and had one children with her.
Cralle labour from a car wreck offer May 6, 1919, in Metropolis, Pennsylvania.[8]
